The PhD in Management is a curricular research doctorate, requiring course-work beyond the Master´s level plus research and dissertation contributing to theory or practice in relation to business administration and management, as well as to development of professional practice by contributing to field-specific knowledge and hence impact practice beyond research.

Students can opt for a single degree programme offered by Universidad Azteca or for the double degree programme offered jointly with

UCN Universidad Central de Nicaragua 

Entry Requirements:

Graduate degree plus MBA, MSc in Management or Business Administration or equivalent Master or Postgraduate Degree qualification or first cycle degree entitling the holder in the the country of award to enroll directly in doctoral research programmes. 

Individual requirements: 

Experience in a supervisory or managerial position with responsibility for decision-making is preferred. 

After completion of coursework, examinations and written research the thesis (dissertation or comprehensive project report) is defended by the candidate before the panel of examiners. 

The total workload of the PhD in Management or Doctor en Administracion corresponds with equivalence of three years of study or 180 ECTS credits. 

Students may focus on a specialisation. 

Der PhD in Management ist ein curriculäres Forschungsdoktorat, das Lehrveranstaltungen über das Master-Niveau hinausgehend plus eine Forschungsdissertation erfordert. 

Zulassungsvoraussetzungen sind 240 ECTS: MSc in Management, Mag.rer.soc.oec. Licenciado en Administracion de Empresas, postgraduale MBA, MPA akademische Grade. In der Regel solche Abschlüsse der zweiten Ebene, die im Herkunftsland zum Doktorat berechtigen. 

Individuelle Voraussetzungen werden im Einzelfall je nach der zutreffenden Universität geprüft. 

Deutschsprachige PhD in Management Programme können in der Regel innerhalb von zwei bis drei Jahren abgeschlossen werden.
